Aja Romano, writing for The Daily Dot, stated that Ted the Caver was arguably the earliest example of creepypasta. The story, posted on Angelfire in 2001, was written in the first person from the perspective of Ted as he and several friends explored an increasingly frightening cave system.

Scourge was originally named Anti-Sonic or Evil Sonic when he first landed on the pages. He came from an alternate universe from the planet Anti-Moebius. This realm presented the exact opposite of Sonic's planet Moebius-Prime, complete with the evil Anti Freedom Fighters (later known as the Suppression Squad).

Mama jumps off the cliff with just Lilly, and upon hitting the branch, Mama and Lilly turn into a shower of butterflies. The movie ends with Victoria realizing that one of the butterflies watching over her is in fact Lilly, perhaps referencing a ghostly regret of Victoria not going with her.

Lily is her replacement of her lost child, and by taking her away, they were enacting Mama's unfulfilled wish and death scene.
